Indicative sea transit from South and East China ports: Southeast Asia 4–12 days, India 14–22, the Gulf 18–24, East Africa 24–34, Europe 30–42. Exact timing depends on the port pair, sailing schedule and whether you ship FCL or LCL.
FCL means you book a full container (about 28 CBM in a 20ft, 58–68 CBM in a 40ft/40HC). LCL means your cargo shares a container with other shippers, so you pay only for the volume you use. Below roughly 15 CBM, LCL consolidation is usually cheaper; above that, a full container is more economical.
